None of these need a robot that can do everything. They need one that can reliably do this.

Shopping in from the car. Bins to the kerb. A full basket up two flights. Anything heavy, awkward, or on a shelf you need a stool to reach.
The second pair of hands you need for ten seconds and never have. Holding the other end. Passing the tool. Getting the thing from the other room.
For people whose reach or grip has changed, the difference between managing at home and not is often just the high shelf, the heavy pan, the dropped item.
Let the dog out. Check the hob is off. Take a delivery in off the step. A body in the house is worth more than another camera in it.
You cook, it preps and clears. You garden, it hauls. Splitting a job is usually more useful than handing the whole thing over.
At work
Most workplaces can’t be economically redesigned around machines. Doorways, trolleys, shelving, handles, stairs, benches at human height — a human-shaped robot is the one that fits without a refit.
Overnight shelf replenishment, backroom-to-floor runs, tote breakdown, facing and tidying, trolley collection.
Piece picking into totes, moving cartons between stations, decanting, staging pallets — in aisles built for people.
Machine tending, loading fixtures, part transfer between cells, inspection handling, end-of-line packing.
Bussing and dish runs, prep transport, stock rotation, closing-down routines — the tasks that make a rota hard to fill.
Supply runs, linen and waste, room turnover, fetching equipment — giving trained staff their time back for the work only they can do.
Material moves on site, tool retrieval, cleanup, holding and positioning during the jobs that normally take two people.
Not as a headcount replacement with a number attached. The Human Robot is most useful on the shift nobody wants and the task that injures people slowly — repetitive lifting, awkward reaches, the fifth hour of carrying.
We would rather put one machine on one well-chosen task in your building and show you the numbers than sell you a fleet against a spreadsheet. When pilots open, the waitlist hears first.
Robotics has a long history of demo videos that never became products. So here’s the honest version, in two columns.
That right-hand column will get shorter over time. Things move across it when the testing says so — not when the marketing calendar does.
How it works
Most robots put a separate motor and gearbox at every joint, thirty times over — which is most of why they cost what they cost. Ours puts one pump in the chest and pipes the power out to soft muscles at each joint. The expensive part is in the middle, and there’s only one of it.
Those muscles pull like tendons and give way when they meet something unexpected, instead of grinding through it. It also keeps the weight in the body rather than out at the wrists — better for balance, and better for whoever is standing next to it.
The robot confirms it actually did what you asked — that the cup made it to the sink, that the box is really on the shelf. When it isn’t sure, it stops and asks rather than guessing confidently.
For the technically curious The muscles are water hydraulics driven by a shared pressure source, with local controllers closing the fast loops. That architecture is developed by our parent engineering effort, Limboid Robotics, which publishes the pressures, control rates, test data and open problems in full.
Safety & privacy
A machine with hands, cameras and microphones has to earn that. These aren’t things we plan to add later.
A separate safety system holds power over the moving parts no matter what the rest of the robot thinks. Anything serious cuts the power in hardware, in one step.
Soft muscle yields when it meets something it didn’t expect. Mechanical limits back that up, and the heavy mass sits in the body rather than swinging on the end of an arm.
Stopping never waits on your wi-fi, our servers, or an AI answering in time. If the connection drops mid-task, the robot finishes safely or puts things down and stays put.
Faces, voices, the layout of your rooms and what you own are processed on the robot itself wherever we can. What does leave is kept to a minimum, and we’d rather explain each exception than bury it.
Whether the cameras and microphones are live, and whether anyone is operating it remotely, shows on the robot itself — visible to everyone in the room, not just whoever owns the account.
Remote sessions, safety overrides and software updates are written to a log you can read and nobody can quietly edit. Updates are signed and checked before they run.
Questions
We don’t have a price we can stand behind yet, and we’d rather say that than invent one. The target is that a Human Robot costs less than a car — not more than a house. When we publish a number it will come from a real bill of materials, not a rounding of what we hope.
There is no ship date, and we are not taking deposits. The robot is in development. The waitlist is how you find out first — including about the parts that don’t work yet.
Roughly the size of an adult, and it fits through a standard doorway. It’s deliberately not made to look like a person — smooth, plain, and obviously a machine, with a screen for a face so it can show you what it’s about to do.
No. It charges from an ordinary wall socket, and it’s designed to work in the building you already have — using the handles, shelves and tools that are already there.
It’s built out of many cheap, repeatable parts rather than a few sealed expensive ones, which is the whole point of the design. A muscle or a valve should be a part you swap, not a reason to send the robot away.
It’s designed to be compliant and to stop in hardware rather than software. That said, we don’t intend it to work unsupervised around small children, and we’ve put that in writing above rather than in a manual nobody reads.
